When Colour stops Time

SIZE: 50 x 50 cm
MEDIUM: Giclee Print
TECHNIQUE: Photography
YEAR: 2018
MADE IN: Antwerp, BE

During the summer of 2018, I was blessed with a spacious garden, prompting me to undertake a flower-growing endeavour for this project. Using colourgels in my studio, I meticulously captured each composition of flowers. I aimed to intrigue viewers by infusing a touch of the unexpected into every still life.

I know the answer is somewhere in my work!
When I find it, I know the question.

Statement

Exploring the domains of form, color, and texture encapsulates the core of my artistic goals. In a world that celebrates diversity, it seems paradoxical that artists are often encouraged to confine themselves to a specific niche.
I resist such limitations. My creative philosophy is boundless—I create art driven by curiosity and inspiration, irrespective of the subject or material.
